Sermon Series – Passing Our Planet On: God’s gift to us

Creationtide 2019 at St Justus

Our theme this year is ‘Passing our Planet On: God’s Gift to Us’

Passing gifts of wisdom down the generations is a constant theme of Scripture, alongside passing on the story of God’s saving power and love.

Today we are vividly aware of the need to act to ensure that our shared home, Planet Earth, is protected from the effects of our greed and carelessness. A gift can be abused or squandered; or it can be cherished and handed on.

The month of September is a good time for us to pray, to study the Scriptures and to act in ways which reflect our belief that God’s creation is precious.
